"Really enjoyable stay"
We stayed in a superior room and were very pleased with it, the decor was really modern and we loved the wooden beams. The bed was massive and really comfortable, we had dinner in the hotel and even though we did'nt get down from our room until 9.55pm (dining ends at 10pm) they said it would'nt be a problem which I thought was very good of them, I would definately recommend this hotel it is without doubt the best Marriott hotel I have stayed in.

"Lovely hotel"
We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel staff, particularly the conceirge, were really helpful - ordering us taxis and looking after our bags even after we'd checked-out. Also the breakfast was a lovely buffet spread. As we don't stay in hotels much we were hoping for a nice room and weren't disappointed - probably the best night's sleep I've had in months! The hotel was perhaps a little bit further from the centre than my shopping-weary legs would have liked but the plus side of this was that the room was lovely and peaceful and, in truth, it really wasn't far from Deansgate.

"Great surprise celebration"
Just got back from spending a really great night at this hotel. We were there as a surprise for my friends 50th birthday and I had booked 2 superior deluxe rooms. Check in was extremely efficient and friendly with the added touch of being upgraded to junior suites. (this made the overnight stay even more special for our celebrations so thank you Jeremy). The rooms were really great having a living area, TV, desk and bathroom with bath downstairs, a french door out onto a small balcony overlooking the River Irwell(although this door has to remain locked for health and safety reasons) then stairs up to the bedroom area, seperate shower room, another TV and a larger balcony looking out towards Manchester.
We went out into town in the evening to see The Producers at the Palace Theatre. We walked there from the hotel which was about 1 mile away.
We called in at Cloud 23 in the Hilton Tower which is worth a visit for the location, but the staff are definatley experiencing teething problems. We had waitresses who couldn't recommended cocktails, had never heard of Grand Marnier and some of the cocktail waiters appeared to know less about cocktails than we did (and we're not experts!) However "Big Tom" seems to know his stuff so if you can, get him to make your drinks.
The Producers was brilliant we then went to Yang Sing for supper and this too was really good. Great food and excellent service despite us walking in at 11pm.
We had a last drink in the hotel bar before retiring to bed. The beds and bedding in the hotel are extremely comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was good too although we did have a few errors with our orders, but these were corrected efficiently and with a smile!
All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Manchester. The building is unique and the staff is very professional and friendly.

"Great experience!"
We stayed here after being transferred from the Palace Hotel in Manchester, along with a few other people they had overbooked! Thumbs down to the Palace, but thumbs up to the Victoria & Albert as we had a great time! With rooms named & themed with shows made at Granada TV studios opposite (we had the Shane Ritchie Experience!) - we had a lovely time and the hotel is beautifully modern and clean! Thankyou!!

"One Of The Best....."
I travel extensively around the UK for work and this is one of the three or four hotels I specifically ask to be booked into.
It has a very nice foyer & bar. The rooms are a very nice size and the beds are both large and comfortable.
I would stress that I have not actually ever had to pay as it is always a business visit, so I'm not sure if it represents good value, but I would thoroughly recommend as a top quality choice for staying in Manchester.

"Great Place to Stay"
I just arrived home from Manchester and have not been able to stop gushing over this hotel. This hotel used to be a old warehouse, and alot of the original brick, wood beams and metal columns are still seen throughout the hotel. I had a room on the third floor, which is known as the "cutsey floor" due to the fact that the ceilings on this floor are only about 6 ft 2in high, my room door was only 6ft tall. The rest of the hotel floors were average sized. The rooms have all been renovated, and are very comfortable, I had the smallest room out of the group I traveled with, and thought it was quite cozy with the low ceiling and the rustic appeal of the brick and beamed ceiling. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Manchester. The only complaint I have is they could stand more sound proving on rooms facing the streets.
