very good experience
On my first trip to Manchester I stayed at Midland Hotel Manchester for the weekend. I found the staff very helpful especially the girl at the reception is very lovely. The location is convenient. It takes 10 min walk to Harvey Nichols and 5 min to the famous Bridgewater concert hall. The hotel is a good getaway. I relaxed at the spa, had an afternoon tea at the Octagon Lounge and excellent breakfast. I dinned at my comfortable room thanks to the 24 hour room service. Feel the luxury at this hotel! |

"Comfortable stay at The Midland"
Stayed in the Midland for one night on 7 May 2007 as part of a conference. Room was large with a large and comfortable bed and an immaculate and good-sized bathroom. Free copies of glossy magazines in the room. Reception staff were efficient and welcoming. Breakfast was very nice, although ready-prepared on hot plates rather than cooked to order. Good choice of different options for breakfast too.

"First class!"
Having not stayed at The Midland for several years, I was pleasantly surprised upon my return. gone are the drab furnishings and decor and in their place, stunning finishes at an impressive hotel.
My room on the 4th floor was spacious with everything you would expect in a hotel of this standard. I particularly like the artwork on the bed's headboard.
I did not dine in the hotel but upon returning late at night I ordered from Room Service which was fresh and delivered promptly.
Breakfast the next morning in the main restaurant was rather busy but I was seated quickly and received my coffee and toast at the table within minutes. Breakfast was buffet style which was plentiful and frequently restocked.
A special mention has to go to the reception and concierge staff who's efficient and friendly service is the best i've experienced in any hotel.
I won't be leaving it so long for my next visit to Manchester and will definately return to The Midland.

"Will be back soon."
Have just stayed at the Midland for 2 nights on business. I have to say I will be back to stay on a personal visit soon. This was my first time in Manchester and I was most impressed with the City. As for the hotel - Great!! Wasn't sure about the one way system, especially with the trams, so stopped at the front and the Concierge had my car parked (small charge to pay). Hotel is currently undergoing a huge renovation, and once complete will be stunning. Allowing for the odd workman walking about the renovation is being carried out discreetly and there was no noise at unsociable hours. Room was large with 2 double beds, plenty of storage, dressing table etc. and air conditioning. Breakfast was superb and staff attentive. Special mention to the concierge and the doorman, both extremely helpful and gave good advice on where to eat and drink. One small complaint - drinks in the hotel bar are VERY expensive, but I wasn't paying this time!! Great stay - will be back.

"Will be going back to the Midland"
This was my first time to Manchester, stayed at The Midland Hotel for 2 nights. I will be booking to go back early next year. The central location of the hotel was fantastic. The bedroom was massive and very comfortable. Breakfast was huge and filled you up for the whole day! Staff at the hotel were extremely friendly. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and can't wait to go back.
