"Perfectly reasonable"
Stayed 4 nights in May for a conference at the G-MEX, which is immediately adjacent. Reasonable-sized king room (bigger than typical European rooms by far). Nice bathroom with fixtures, shower & tub; shampoos & lotions (why do they use squirt soap bottles, rather than single-serving soaps, shampoo, etc.? Maybe it saves on individual packaging, but the bottles are fixed to the wall, so not very convenient for showering).
The hotel is fairly large, and on a busy but not too busy street in Manchester. Tram stops are nearby, and lots of stores & restaurants are in walking distance.
The gym is fairly small (and a low ceiling makes for a potentially hazardous situation on the treadmills and eliptical machines: I got off to an energetic start, and bounced off the ceiling! I'm 6'2"). But it's free, and has enough for a reasonable workout.
Manchester is sports-crazy. I understand that the football teams stay there while in town to play Manchester United. Breakfast is quite nice, and was included with my stay. English + continental with juices, coffee, etc. I wish they varied it from day to day, but otherwise found it more than adequate.
Contrary to information about this hotel, there is not a guest laundry. They only have a typically expensive dry cleaning or laundering service (as in 4.50 pounds for a pair of shorts). Instead, find a laundry shop up the street, and pay them to do your whole load for under fifteen pounds.

"Lovely hotel, would recommend, more 4-star though."
Really lovely hotel - great location, great decor, nice staff.
We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and it was a very, very busy time to arrive. We had to queue for valet parking and then again to check in. The room itself was on the small side but very nicely kitted out. The bathroom was particularly lovely.
Our television kept switching itself off but a member of the maintenance team soon saw to that.
I made use of the gym and pool and it was great - quite small but everything you need and helpful staff.
I'd definitely stay here again.

"Great City Getaway"
Stayed for one night, the staff were super helpful but not intrusive, the room was very modern, well laid out and comfortable, we got a great night sleep in the kingsize bed. The hotel spa in the basement was clean and well maintained although not over busy.
The location was also excellent, with safe parking nearby (at £15 per 24 hours) and all Manchester city centre on your doorstep. Would recommend to friends and we plan to stay again soon.

"A Really Great hotel - We Stay Regularly!"
This hotel is fabulous. The atmosphere is great - the bar and restaurant are very trendy, and the rooms are spacious and modern.
Service wise - my wife and I stay here regularly and we have always been utterly impressed. The Reception staff always remember our names and pulled out all the stops for us for our wedding anniversary last weekend.
I did enjoy the Lowry when I stayed, but the Edwardian just has the edge and a little more character, and the location is better for the city centre too. Wonderful. |

"Excellent Hotel"
We have stayed in this hotel at least 6 times in the last 6 months. We keep going back as it is the best hotel we have stayed at in Manchester.
I must admit that as with all hotels things can occasionally go wrong. However, I always let the staff know, and they always sort out the problem. The staff are all excellent, the facilities are A1, and the bar is good enough to stay in all night! The front of house staff are very busy but are always extremely polite and professional.
It is unfortunate that some of the other reviewers have had poor service and have had to wait for check in/out, etc. However, this is probably as a result of the hotel being busy and staff being as attentive as they can be to the customer they are dealing with.
The Radisson Edwardian is my hotel of choice whilst in Manchester and I would recommend it to anyone. |

"Dripping in Luxury"
I travel to Manchester monthly from Glasgow with work and wouldnt stay anywhere else.
Location - Perfect
Decor - Simple but stunning
Staff - attentive with a continental charm.
I do wonder if half these reviewers either stayed in the hotel, or have nothing better better to do than moan over unsubstantiated claims.
See you next month Radisson!

Great Hotel
We stayed for 1 night in June 05 and had a fantastic stay.
The whole hotel is beautifully decorated. Our room was great; wonderful furnishings, wet/dry shower room, large comfy bed and great view over the city. Room service was fast and efficient; a newspaper and breakfast were brought to the room at no extra charge.
My only criticism is that the bar is very over priced. |
